BROCHURE VALIDITY
All pricing and content in this brochure is correct and current at time of printing and valid until 31 March 2025 (unless otherwise shown). Prices are quoted in Australian Dollars. Prices are subject to availability and may fluctuate if details of accommodation and tours change during the brochure period. At certain times of the year, operators may provide discounted pricing which will be promoted on our website, and included in quotes, ensuring that you continue to receive the best value at all times. Although due care is taken, Tasmanian Vacations cannot be held responsible for price fluctuations or changes to product details including accommodation, rental vehicles, attractions, tours and transport in this brochure. DESCRIPTIONS AND IMAGES Content in this brochure along with images and maps provided are representative of the services provided. However, the actual product offered may vary slightly from shown. Descriptions provide an overview of services and facilities offered and may vary slightly.
DEPOSITS AND FINAL PAYMENT
A non-refundable deposit of $100 per person will be required at time of booking to confirm your itinerary. Final payment of balance due will be required no later than 30 days prior to travel. Products with strict booking conditions which include, yet are not limited to, airfares and Spirit of Tasmania will need to be paid in full when booking in order to confirm as these components are non-refundable. Bookings made within 30 days of travel will require full payment at time of booking. Bookings paid for by credit card will attract a surcharge. Please contact your travel agent or our office for details. Bookings within 30 days of travel will attract a priority booking fee of $100. In addition, some services booked by Tasmanian Vacations require prepayment prior to confirmation. These tours include multi-day walking tours and some other products. Your Tasmanian Vacations Travel Expert will advise you of this at the time of quoting.
SECURITY DEPOSIT/PRE-AUTHORISATION
A credit card imprint may be required to provide a pre-authorisation or security deposit by your accommodation provider or car/campervan operator in case of any incidentals that are not included in the cost of your holiday.
CANCELLATION AND AMENDMENT FEES
Your travel plans may change for a number of reasons. We do recommend appropriate travel insurance to protect your holiday investment under certain circumstances. When you book with Tasmanian Vacations, we will act responsibility and reasonably to manage your changes and/or cancellations should it become neccessary.
CANCELLATION PRIOR TO FINAL PAYMENT
: No refund of deposit paid. However, your deposit will be retained as a credit for future travel with Tasmanian Vacations for a period up to 3 years from original date of travel.
CANCELLATION AFTER FINAL PAYMENT
: No refund of deposit paid. However, your deposit of $100 per person will be retained on file for a further three years from original date of travel as a credit for future travel. Any further refund will be paid less any fees imposed by the suppliers of services within the terms of contracts which may be up to 100% of monies paid, which may include your $100 per person deposit.
CANCELLATION AFTER COMMENCING TRAVEL
: No refunds once travel has commenced including unused services.
AMENDMENTS
: Tasmanian Vacations will assist wherever possible with amendments when due to unforeseen changes in flight or shipping schedules or instances where government travel restrictions may be implemented. Any other client requested (change of mind) amendments will incur a $100 change fee. A second client requested amendment will incur a further $100 change fee. In the event of subsequent amendments, Tasmanian Vacations amendment fee will be $200. This may or may not include specific amendment or cancellation fees levied by the providers of travel services - accommodation, car rental, tours, attractions etc.
TRAVEL PROGRAM CANCELLATION
Tasmanian Vacations reserves the right to cancel tour programs prior to departure for reasons which may be beyond the control of Tasmanian Vacations. These reasons may include but not be limited to; industrial disputes, government sanctioned border closures or the inability of a supplier to deliver services. In this event Tasmanian Vacations will refund monies paid prior to cancellation less any charges imposed by other contractors and charges incurred by Tasmanian Vacations. Please refer to the Travel Insurance section on this page.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Tasmanian Vacations recommends all intending travellers to ask our consultants or their travel agent for full details in relation to adequate travel insurance. Travel insurance may cover you for cancellations, medical expenses, rental vehicle insurance excess and lost, stolen or damaged personal effects. Our expert consultants would be pleased to provide you with a competitive quote for this added peace of mind.RESPONSIBILITY
TasVacations Pty Ltd, trading as Tasmanian Vacations, acts only as an agent for suppliers or service providers in booking or arranging all transport, sightseeing, accommodation and other travel services. Tasmanian Vacations does not own, manage, control or operate any suppliers of services associated with this brochure. All tickets, receipts and coupons issued to travellers are subject to the terms and conditions specified by the end suppliers of the services to be performed. By accepting the tickets, receipts or coupons and utilising the services, each traveller agrees that neither Tasmanian Vacations nor any of its subsidiary companies, staff or representatives shall be liable for any injury to passengers or damage or loss of their belongings suffered in connection with any travel related suppliers services or resulting directly or indirectly from occurrences outside their control including breakdown of equipment, strikes, thefts, delay or cancellation, or changes to the itinerary or the schedule. Tasmanian Vacations will provide all reasonable assistance to disaffected travellers, however, we strongly recommend travel insurance to cover for a range of out-of-pocket expenses which may occur.
GROUP TRAVEL AND COACH TOURS
Tailor made itineraries are available for all groups. A deposit of $100 per person is required at time of booking and the balance of payment is required 60 days prior to travel. Bookings made within 60 days of travel will be required to pay in full at time of booking. Bookings via credit card will attract a surcharge. Refer to Deposits and Final Payment for further booking conditions including products with strict booking conditions including yet not limited to flights and “Spirit of Tasmania”.
ITINERARY ACCURACY & RESPONSIBILITY
Tasmanian Vacations will always strive for 100% accuracy when booking the many elements of your travel itinerary. It is the responsibility of the traveller to carefully check all elements of the final itinerary and travel documents for accuracy. Any errors must be advised to your consultant immediately and prior to departure. Any costs associated with errors around dates or services provided in the final itinerary that arise after travel has commenced will be the responsibility of the traveller. We recommend travel insurance in this instance. Tasmanian Vacations will always assist to resolve any error but costs associated with these changes must be borne by the traveller.
